“Mardi Gras” is the Fat Tuesday, a festive day, in French. In France, it is celebrated on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. In the U.S., this festival is elaborately celebrated in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mardi Gras Season begins on January 6th and ends at midnight on Mardi Gras, the day before Ash Wednesday. People are planning for party and going to purchase Mardi Gras decorations for the celebrations.

Mardi Gras decorations include a number of accessories. Throw beads are the most recognized decoration. Another ‘must’ items for Mardi Gras decorations are masks.

People wear costumes and beads on this day and celebrate with a parade, a special party on this occasion. Mardi Gras masks are very fancy masks. Feather masks, papier-mâché masks, satin eye masks, masks on a stick, sequin and glitter masks, Venetian carnival masks, butterfly masks and Casanova masks are all widely used.
